1. Using CaterScale
By using a CaterScale website or service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for an organization, you must be authorized to act on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the service. CaterScale is operated by Likwid Games Ltd.
2. The service and your responsibilities
CaterScale helps catering teams coordinate customers, inquiries, menus, quotes, approvals, kitchen work, invoices and payments. Illustrated website examples use fictional records. Feature availability depends on the release, plan and configured integrations; planned capabilities are not delivery commitments.
You remain responsible for your catering services, food safety, allergen and dietary verification, staffing, permits, taxes, customer agreements and the accuracy of your records. Check AI suggestions and generated quantities before acting on them. CaterScale does not provide medical, legal, food-safety or accounting advice and does not guarantee that an event is safe or suitable for a guest.
3. Trials, subscriptions and billing
Your CaterScale plan
The current offer includes one location, up to five active staff and a 14-day trial. Monthly billing is $49 USD. The advertised annual offer is $479.88 USD prepaid for a year ($39.99 per month equivalent). Choose monthly or annual billing in the app. The website does not activate a subscription. Available options, taxes, billing dates and final terms are shown before checkout confirmation.
If you choose a paid subscription during a trial, the checkout displays when payment begins. An eligible remaining trial period is preserved; a checkout started near trial expiry may give a short extension to complete setup. The confirmed date controls. Monthly subscriptions renew each month until cancelled. Annual subscriptions, when available and purchased, renew each year for the full yearly amount.
Cancellation and refunds
The workspace owner can use Subscription → Manage billing to update payment details or schedule cancellation through Stripe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period shown there. Cancelling does not automatically refund subscription fees. Except as required by law or agreed in writing, fees are not refundable for unused time or partial periods.
For a duplicate, unauthorized or incorrect subscription charge, choose “Billing or subscription” on our contact page. We will investigate. This does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Applicable taxes are additional unless checkout says otherwise; provide accurate billing and tax information.
Expired trials and unpaid subscriptions
A provider-confirmed failed recurring payment begins a fixed seven-day grace period. Further failures do not restart it. After grace expires, or when a trial expires or a subscription is cancelled, unpaid or paused, normal workspace use may be restricted. Owners retain billing recovery access. Existing public documents and payment receipts remain available. Access can be restored when the subscription is recovered.
4. Payments from catering customers
Payments for a catering event are separate from the CaterScale subscription. The catering business is responsible for its prices, deposits, fulfillment, cancellation and refund policies, tax treatment and disputes with its customers. CaterScale is not the caterer or a party to that event agreement.
Online payments require a connected, eligible Stripe account. Stripe processing fees and its agreements apply. Card details are entered in Stripe-hosted checkout. Approved refunds and credits preserve the original invoice and payment history; they do not erase the original agreement.
5. Accounts and customer information
Keep credentials and shared document links secure, maintain accurate account information, assign appropriate staff roles and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit customer, employee, dietary, event, image and payment-related information.
You retain your rights in the information you submit. You authorize the limited hosting, processing, transmission, display and backup needed to provide and protect the service. Keep records needed for your business and legal obligations.
6. Acceptable use and ownership
Do not use CaterScale to break the law, infringe rights, send spam, upload malicious content, disrupt the service or access another workspace without authorization. Security testing requires permission unless otherwise allowed by law. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect others.
CaterScale and its licensors retain rights in the software, website, branding and documentation, excluding customer information. You may use the service under the applicable agreement. Feedback may be used to improve the service without compensation; we will not identify you publicly without permission.
Third-party services have their own terms. Optional address suggestions are subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms and Google Privacy Policy.
7. Availability and liability
We may change, suspend or retire website or service features, subject to applicable agreements and law. Evaluation and preview services are supplied as available, without a promise of uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure operation.
To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, business opportunities or data arising from website or preview use. A paid customer agreement may set different warranties, remedies and limits. These terms do not exclude obligations or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. General terms and contact
The laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada govern these terms, unless a separate agreement or mandatory law requires otherwise. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue. Not enforcing a provision does not waive it. Updated terms will show a revised date; material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
For questions, legal notices or current mailing instructions, use the contact page. A separate signed agreement governs where it expressly overrides these terms.
